Catherine is smiling warmly, pictured inside of a computer monitor screen. She is wearing black glasses and has long brown hair.

Hello! I'm Catherine. It's nice to meet you.

I’m an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer with experience in biomedical engineering and sales enablement content and a strong focus on backward design and story-driven strategies.

My career in instructional design began 15 years ago as a side task when asked to lead a company-wide training on our new VOIP system. I familiarized myself with the product through consulting with the VOIP product rep (SME) and developed a company-specific course that I would facilitate. Over the next two years, I designed and led multiple courses on relevant topics for that organization. I pursued formal degrees in education, curriculum, and instruction and have found my niche as an instructional designer.

I design engaging learning solutions aligned with organizational objectives. My background bridges corporate experience with formal training in Instructional Design and provides the ability to empathize with a diverse group of adult learners. I identify problems and create solutions to meet organizational needs effectively.

Core Competencies: Instructional Design, Program Development, Facilitation, Presentation, Data Analysis, Needs Analysis, Backward Design, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ADDIE, Action Mapping.
